I've seen lots of different patriotic themed and stylized flag designs, but for this series I wanted to really stay as true as I could to the actual flags they symbolize, while adding texture and sparkle to reflect my own style.

Materials

Stitch Count: 203w x 102h

Design Size: 10 ¼ x 5 ¼ inches on 40 count fabric
11 ¼ x 5 ¾ inches on 36 count fabric
12 ¾ x 6 ½ inches on 32 count fabric
14 ½ x 7 ¼ inches on 28 count fabric

Fabric used for the model is 36ct Sand from Picture This Plus.

Floss Used:
Dinky Dyes 254 Heartthrob OR DMC 321 x2 skeins*
Dinky Dyes 000 Natural OR DMC Blanc x2 skeins*

Beads Used:
Delica Beads DB0602 (11/0) Silver Lined Christmas Red OR Mill Hill 02099 x1064 beads**
Delica Beads DB0202 (11/0) White Pearl AB OR Mill Hill 03041 x652 beads**

* The DMC and Dinky Dyes are not an exact match, but they're fairly close.
** These are not exact matches – the Mill Hill beads are a slightly larger bead but should fit okay. The
colours are a very close match.

Floss estimates are for 36 count fabric stitching over two, one strand for cross stitch and 1-2 for specialty stitches as directed. If you are using a lower count of fabric, you'll want to adjust the amount of floss accordingly.
