Threads are the backbone of embroidery and changing the thread will change the final look and feel of your project!
Below are some examples of threads sold and what style they are most commonly used in. Remember it's your creation so don't be obligated to uses the suggested threads in the pattern, change it up, create and make it your own!!
6-strand embroidery floss:
This is a divisible thread that can be separated to be used on different sized fabric. If you are working on 14 count (14 holes to an inch) Aida it is recommended to use 3 threads of floss. If you are using 32 count (32 threads per inch) linen and stitching over 2 threads at a time then 2 threads of floss is recommended.
