This stunning tapestry Kit, Burgundy Dahlia is one of 4 kits based on a still life by fine artist Vanessa Bowman. Vanessa is an artist who is well known for her richly detailed still lifes, which we think have transformed into beautiful tapestry kits. Her paintings observe the simple beauty of the everyday surroundings of her native Dorset and use her innate sense of colour to jewel-like effect. This is part of our ‘Pitcher Posie’ series along with three other designs of flowers in decorative jugs: Helleborus, Orange Dahlia and Primrose.

The kit contains everything necessary to complete the design, including a Zweigart printed canvas (12hpi), 100% British 4-ply Tapestry Wool in 24 different colours, a detailed instruction leaflet and a needle.

The finished piece measures 40 x 40cm, which equates to 189 x 189 stitches, and is completed using tent stitch. NB: should you wish to turn the Helleborus into a cushion cover, extra fabric will be required.

We recommend that you use a frame when stitching.
