2026 - Due to Kreinik stock being unreliable with the supplier for the last year, we have decided to pause all new orders. In stock items are available while supplies last. In 2024, Rainbow Gallery purchased Kreinik and the threads will be on cards going forward, shipping will be adjusted when needed.  Prices will be updated, and old stock sold at the old price while supplies last.

In 2022, Kreinik changed the size of the spools that are used so it now must ship as a parcel due to the thickness of the plastic spool itself. (email if you would like the braids removed from the spool to a cardboard card to reduce shipping costs, blending filament can not be removed from the spool due to possible damage to the thread)

Kreinik Japan Threads are synthetic, non-tarnishing gimps available in gold, dark gold, silver and copper that give the appearance of stitching with real metals. Since real metal threads are rare and expensive, Japan Threads are an ideal substitute. Japan Threads are available in Super Fine #1 (thin), Fine #5, and Medium #7 (the thickest).

This colour is also available in the traditional kreinik ribbons and braids as well.
