Tam is an English designer based in Switzerland who is crazy about blackwork - though she also creates lovely cross stitch designs too! Her patterns cover a wide range of subjects, in a variety of styles: so if you want to give blackwork a go, you're sure to find a pattern you'll enjoy stitching. Note: blackwork needn't necessarily be stitched in black, it can be very pretty in color!

For Tam's Creations the answer is colorful!

Her sheep-in-patches is stitched as a patchwork of multicolor motifs using now fewer than 16 DMC Color variations floss shades. A solid navy background provides unity and sharpens the sheep silhouette.

This pattern is part of a lovely series of animal patterns where each animal is portrayed in a mosaik-like combination of motifs.
