Libraries, bookshops and reading nooks have always been my happy places – this design combines some of my favourite elements of these calm, cosy spots. It is also the first design to feature my ‘Bookshelf’ range produced in collaboration with Cottage Garden Threads and to complement Fox & Rabbit Designs linen. I do hope you love them as much as I do!

This design has a stitch count of 142w x 142h and uses full crosses over two and some backstitching. In my model, I used 1strand of floss over two threads of linen for an antique look – you might like to use 2-over-2 on a lower-count fabric to really see the colours sing.

Model stitched on 36-count ‘Baked Clay’ by Fox & Rabbit Designs. I’ve framed it in a standard 9x9 inch frame. Visit my blog for more info on the design, a book recommendation, and some of the ways I’ve used the CGT in specific motifs.
