“Evangeline” is a lovely study of diagonal, traditional and string art stitches. This is a great opportunity for [stitchers] to try different threads and to see firsthand the versatility of some of these stitches. Some are old favourites and others will be brand new. The piece is surrounded by a layered border to give the piece a finished look which is done as Prework. Stitches explored will include Chilly Hollow, a variety of Jessicas, a multitude of Crescents, Theresicas and layered Double Fans. A variety of metallic threads, Overdyed Perle Cotton, Silk and Rainbow Gallery threads are used.
