Blue is one of those versatile colours that can work with every season .... From Dark Twilight blues for Halloween Nights to Silvery Blues for Winter, Bright Blues for Spring skies and Turquoise Blue tropical Summer water!
Some of the richest blues for both fabric and thread are created by hand dyeing the fibres. For Hand Dyed Fabrics you can filter my collection by colour!
For Threads I find that each company specializes in a different colour type.
Weeks Dye Works and Classic Colorwork create cotton threads that are more muted
While Cottage Garden Thread have more bright jewel tone ranges

My Thread Organization project continues and I have just updated the Caron Collection of threads. The collection contains silks (Waterlilies), 3 ply Cottons (Watercolours) and wool (Impressions). They are used by many designers from Mirabilia and Nora Corbett to Canvaswork designers Lorene Salt and Freda Murfin.
I have added a descriptor to each of the listings to help you substitute colours in your pattern. For example, Waterlilies is a stranded Silk thread that can be substituted with Au Ver A Soie Solid colours or the hand dyed Belle Soie by Classic Colorworks & Chamelon Threads from South Africa.
As I am unable to carry the entire thread lines for Caron Collections feel free to email me if you want to check if a particular colour is currently in stock!
