You may have noticed that I wasn't able to send out a newsletter in October. Thank you for your patience during the Canada Post full strike and some of the delays in getting supply orders shipped to Canada. Feel free to email if you ever have any questions about your order.
I have also been able to set up an account with a new Canadian supplier for Zweigart Fabrics and I will be adding Metric listings for many of the popular colours and types of fabric. I will be transitioning the fabrics that are currently in Yards to Metric where I can over the next few months.

New techniques don't have to be scary
I am excited to announce that I am now carrying the Canadian Surface Embroidery company: Nest EmBIRDery!
Kit Brand - Nest EmBIRDery – Embroidery Marketplace - Calgary
These are a great way to introduce yourself to SURFACE EMBROIDERY. This is the catch-all term for traditional embroidery on regular fabric with a sharp needle, it is also sometime called Slow Stitching.
There are 2 types of kits: Full kits with everything you need to start or Stick & Stitch Packs with the design only.
Each kit will note if it is "Currently in stock" or if it "Needs to be ordered," replenishment orders are placed once a month.
Carley Pettitt encourages everyone to make it their own by using your choice of threads and fabric. Use DMC cotton threads to add designs to your clothing or explore using silk threads!
Look for new Surface Embroidery Kits arriving soon from Au Ver a Soie (France) and explore the Royal School of Needlework's Stitchbank with stitches from around the world.

Monthly Drop-in Stitching Events
Each month I host a FREE drop in stitching event just outside my store's space in the Community Hall area of Shedpoint
Bay 140 - 1212 34th Ave SE, Calgary
November 23rd (Sunday) 12-5pm
December 14th (Sunday) 12-5pm
Join your friends for a fun afternoon of stitching or come on your own and meet new people! Everyone is welcome.

Each Mystery Bundle of Fabric will have 3 pieces in 3 different colours!
You can chose the count you love or get a Mixed Bag of 3 different counts. For colours, choose from Neutrals, Cool or Warm colours or go for the Surprise Me option.
Each Bundle is built to order so you are welcome to email any special requests, like Sparkle fabric, different counts or the same colour in light and dark shades.
